Another FOGGY day over Howe Sound as seen from our house...

Bill & I finally made the difficult decision to top all the trees on our property in Lions Bay. We kept them to a height that still gives our home shade in the summer. The relentless storms of the past and present finally broke us down. I would be off on my shows across Canada only to hear from Bill (in the basement terrified) that a tree was about to split our house in two! Also, we have been hit a total of three times in the 29 years we have lived here. Four more trees missed the house. Once a tree split Serena's car in half. Of course, for the reason given above, we haven't had the high winds this year. Just 3 1/2 feet of snow! We bought a generator a few years ago and almost had to use it this year when we were without power for a day. Due to the snow, we haven't been able to use our driveway for two months now. Bill and I would be kept busy enough just keeping two car places dug out at the bottom of our property next to the road. But, we did get a white Christmas!

Our home now has two renovated bathrooms. Our bath tub has jets and water bubble system - plus turning the water into different colors. Bill talked me into the color thing - so glad he did. Funny to think of a bathroom being exciting!

Serena, Bill, and I were interviewed by Global TV on the anniversary of 150th birthday of BC. They showed us taking pictures of various bird species. Basically, it was about what BC meant to us...

My insane show schedule included two months on the road. The five cities included Calgary, where I did three shows. I could not begin to accomplish these feats of extraordinary energy, if it were not for the following amazing people. They helped me at the shows themselves, or take me in as a house guest and give me the T.L.C. which enables me to perform to my best ability. They are: John and Romona Keay, Kathy and Barry Gibson, David Gibson, Melissa, Broderick Arneson, Roseanne, Randall Abele, Ervin and Sonja Buckmaster, Keith and Bonnie Spady, Bev and Peter Walker - Debb and Gary, Adam and Curtis Brethauer; and Keay Golletz. Angela and Jason did two shows for me on Vancouver Island for the first time. They did an amazing job and I am thrilled how professional they were! I was very proud of them - they were great sales people! A big thank you to Heidi and Dave Howard for helping Angie and Jason take down booths and helping out. I do a show called Creative Chaos in June and Sherry and Volker Klose are so kind to take me into their lovely home and family. Mere words cannot express my deep appreciation and gratitude to all these amazing people who make my life on the road possible. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

The Keay and Barton family are thrilled to have the Howard and Klose families as part of ours with the union of Jason and Angela on July 26th. We look forward to years of sharing life together!

July 27th - until Pat passed away on Sept 3rd - she was surrounded by family and friends. We all nursed her. We all made her suffering and transition into the other side a better one. I will be forever indebted to Mark, Judy, Krista, Katie, Phillip Barton, Calvin Barton, Pat's boy friend Bill Coughlan and my best friend Kay Fulford. Calvin and his family all travelled out from their home in Norway - AnneKarin, Annette, Eric, and his girlfriend Elleyann.

God Bless my mom - She will always be in my heart and soul.
