Angela & Jason got married!

Pat Barton's eulogy

Pat Barton, Wanda's mom, passed away September 3/08. Her funeral was held at the West Vancouver United Church... Wanda gave a very moving eulogy to a large number of Pat's friends that gathered together that day to remember this great and wonderful woman... read full EULOGY...
A fantastic wedding and reception for Angela and Jason took place at the Furry Creek Golf and Country Club July 26th/08 - just north of Lions Bay. Had the wedding been a week later, a massive rock slide would have cancelled it! As it was, it was a beautiful ceremony followed with lots of food and many hours of dancing away the night! Angela and Jason spent a 3-week honeymoon on the Howard yacht in the Desolation Sound area. They live in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island where Angela is a Professional Sign Language Interpreter, and Jason has his own construction business building decks and working on various housing projects. Wild Horses of Alberta

Wanda, Serena, & Bill made a quick trip to Alberta to photograph Wild Horses in the Alberta foothills. They had been invited by Bob & Doreen Henderson to observe 3 or more small herds that frequent this area. Bob's could look at a "horse muffin" on the road and pretty much tell when the herd had been by. We surprised a golden eagle on the road feeding on a deer carcass, and came across a wolf watching us carefully from a rise. During the first day of shooting, however, Wanda got a message that her mom's health had taken a turn for the worse. And, they headed home as fast of possible. PICTURES...

TOFINO

Allyene Keay once again led a large assortment of the Keay Clan to the annual Tofino week of fun... This time, Kathy, Wanda, Bill, and Allyene were joined by John Keay and daughter Naomi... We had the sun for most days, and an unusually high wind making sandstorms on the beaches... All in all (and aside from mom winning TOO many crib games and letting us know about it) everyone had a great time!

I know what you're thinking here. Finally a picture of Bill in this normal working environment that's a true likeness. OR - gee, I thought he was LOSING his hair!
Very funny, indeed. A photographer at the Vancouver Sun (Stuart Davis) has a bit of fun with his fellow photographers once a year. Each Christmas, he picks one Photographer and places his face (s) into environments that they are normally interested in. In my case - Wildlife... In other words, every Christmas, someone gets the "dreaded" picture. Guess whose turn it was this year?
